We are seeking a family lawyer with 3+ years of experience to join our supportive and collaborative team. This is a excellent chance for a lawyer to independently handle their own family law cases, provide legal advice, draft legal documents, represent clients in court, and negotiate and mediate settlements.
Responsibilities
Advise clients on family law issues, including divorce proceedings, child custody arrangements, visitation rights, and spousal support.
Prepare and review legal documents such as pleadings, affidavits, settlement agreements, and court filings with precision and clarity.
Conduct thorough research using legal databases to stay current on relevant laws, precedents, and procedural updates.
Negotiate settlements between parties to achieve fair resolutions that align with clients’ needs and legal standards.
Represent clients in court hearings, mediations, and negotiations with confidence and professionalism.
Maintain detailed case files and documentation to ensure compliance with legal standards and facilitate smooth case management.
Stay informed about changes in family law legislation and best practices through continuous research and career development.
Skills
Experience in Provincial and Supreme Court
Strong proficiency in legal research to gather pertinent case law and legislative updates.
Excellent negotiation skills to advocate effectively for clients during settlement discussions or court proceedings.
Exceptional writing skills for drafting explicit, persuasive legal documents and correspondence.
Solid understanding of family law procedures, court protocols, and legal drafting techniques.
Experience in Real Estate transactions and/or Wills and Estates an asset but not necessary.
Pay: $123,456.00-$999,999.00 per year
