As our new Intermediate Environmental Scientist , you will play an important role on our Land Quality and Remediation team in Winnipeg.
Responsibilities
Participate in and support all aspects of contaminated site projects, including Phase I, II, and III Environmental Site Assessments and remediation projects
Plan and conduct field investigations, including soil, groundwater, and other environmental sampling
Assist with the preparation of work plans, field programs, technical reports, and project deliverables
Review, analyze, and interpret environmental data and laboratory results
Support the development of remediation options analyses, remedial action plans, and remediation programs
Assist with the coordination and execution of environmental investigation and remediation programs
Prepare clear and technically sound reports and other client deliverables
Support project managers with project scheduling, budgets, tracking, and general project coordination
Communicate with clients, contractors, laboratories, and other project stakeholders as required
Participate in site visits and work at both urban and remote locations as required
Support junior staff with fieldwork, data collection,
and technical deliverables while continuing to develop your own technical skills
Follow and promote SLR's health and safety requirements and demonstrate strong safety leadership in the field
Contribute to proposals, scopes of work, and other business development activities as opportunities arise
Develop project management and client relationship skills with the support and mentorship of senior SLR professionals

Qualifications / Education / Memberships
Minimum of a degree or technical diploma in environmental science, engineering, geology, hydrogeology, or a related environmental discipline
Approximately 3-7 years of relevant experience in contaminated site investigation, environmental consulting, remediation, or related work
Experience supporting or conducting Phase I and Phase II Environmental Site Assessments is required; Phase
