We are currently recruiting 3rd & 4th year Apprentice welders for an exciting client of ours located in Halifax NS. Reporting to the Installation Manager, the Apprentice Welders will work in collaboration with the installation team.

Responsibilities:
Read and interpret blueprints to determine welding requirements
Set up welding equipment and select appropriate welding techniques
Weld components in flat, vertical, or overhead positions
Operate power tools and hand tools to prepare materials for weldin
Maintain a clean and organized work area




Follow safety protocols and wear appropriate protective equipment

Working Conditions:
Able to work efficiently in fast-paced environments
Physically capable of performing tasks that require frequent bending, crouching, and kneeling
Strong attention to detail with excellent hand-eye coordination
Comfortable working in confined or restricted spaces

Confined Space
Fall Protection
WHMIS

Qualifications:
2nd or 3rd year completed pre-apprenticeship course
Good work quality and ability to work steadily to meet project timeline
Positive physical dexterity to work in tight or awkward locations
Proficient in using power tools and hand tools
Robust mechanical knowledge and understanding of welding techniques
Experience with plasma cutting, rigging, and blueprint reading is preferred
Familiarity with operating cranes and forklifts is a plus
Ability to assemble and disassemble metal parts for machining purposes

All successful applicants must meet the requirements for Canadian Government Security clearance.
