Join SLR Consulting as an Intermediate to Senior Aquatic Ecologist in British Columbia. Lead aquatic assessments, manage projects, and mentor junior staff while working on infrastructure projects. In this role, you'll play a key part in SLR’s Ecology and Biodiversity practice.
Responsibilities include managing project lifecycles, leading aquatic field programs, and ensuring regulatory compliance. You will mentor junior team members and support business growth in the aquatic ecology sector across British Columbia. Key Responsibilities:
- Lead full project lifecycle including scheduling and budgeting
- Plan aquatic field programs with recognized protocols
- Analyze field data and prepare high-quality technical reports
- Ensure compliance with federal, provincial, and municipal regulations
- Mentor junior staff on technical and field operations Requirements:
- Bachelor’s in Biology, Ecology, or Natural Sciences
- 7-10+ years in ecological sciences; 3+ years in consulting
- Registered or eligible as an RPBio
- Experience with surface water quality investigations
