Join Burgundy Diamond Mines as a Journeyperson Welder in Yellowknife, working on a two-week on/off rotation at the Ekati mine site. This role focuses on welding and fabrication for Fixed Plant Maintenance. You will report to the Team Leader and handle surface welding tasks, including fabricating and field repairs under various weather conditions.
Proficiency in SMAW, GMAW, and FCAW welding, as well as air-arc gouging, is essential for this full time position requiring 3-5 years of experience in industrial settings. Key Responsibilities:
- Perform general welding and fabricating tasks
- Maintain crusher and sizing machinery throughout the year
- Execute heavy plate welding standards
- Read blueprints and technical specifications accurately
- Conduct structural welding and repairs on equipment Requirements:
- Certificate as a Red Seal/Interprovincial Journeyperson Welder
- High school Diploma or GED equivalent
- Minimum 3-5 years’ experience in mining or industrial environments
- Class 5 driver's license is mandatory
