Letcar Mechanical is seeking a robust 3rd or 4th Year Apprentice or Journeyman Plumber/Gasfitter to join our team in Fort McMurray, Alberta. This is a project-based position supporting the completion of a commercial piping project.

We are looking for someone experienced, dependable, and capable of working independently without requiring significant supervision. You will be working alongside an experienced Journeyman Plumber and assisting with the installation and handling of piping.

Job Summary
Commercial and industrial plumbing and piping work
Installation of glycol piping and grooved piping systems
Work with pipe ranging from approximately 1½" to 8"
Assist with handling, positioning, and installation of larger-diameter pipe
Must be physically capable of handling the demands of larger piping installations
Ability to work independently without constant supervision
Work effectively alongside a Journeyman Plumber and other tradespeople
Follow all site safety procedures and requirements

Schedule
Monday to Saturday
10-hour days
7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Project-based position, currently anticipated to run until approximately the end of October
Potential for additional work following the project depending on workload





What We’re Looking For
Registered 3rd or 4th Year Plumber Apprentice or Journeyman Plumber
Solid commercial and/or industrial plumbing experience
Experience with glycol piping and grooved piping is an asset
Experience working with larger-diameter piping is an asset
Physically capable of handling and installing larger pipe
Strong work ethic and commitment to safety
Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
Valid Class 5 driver's licence with a clean driver's abstract
Must be able to pass pre-employment drug and alcohol testing

Pay: $50.00 per hour
