G&S; Gill Trucking Ltd is a growing transportation company with a fleet of trucks and heavy equipment. We are committed to safety, reliability, and keeping our equipment in top condition. We’re looking for a skilled Heavy Duty Mechanic to join our team and keep our fleet running smoothly.
Responsibilities
Inspect, diagnose, repair, and maintain diesel engines, transmissions, and hydraulic systems on trucks, trailers, and heavy equipment
Perform scheduled preventative maintenance and safety inspections
Troubleshoot electrical, brake, and suspension systems
Keep accurate maintenance records and complete work orders
Ensure all work is done in compliance with safety regulations and company policies
Respond to emergency roadside repairs as needed
Maintain a clean and organized shop environment
Qualifications
Journeyman Heavy Duty Mechanic (Red Seal preferred) or Apprentice with relevant experience
Experience with truck fleets, trailers, or construction equipment
Robust diagnostic and problem-solving skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Valid driver’s license (Class 1 or 3 with air brake endorsement considered an asset)
