We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Long Haul Driver to join our team. Duties
Operate heavy-duty trucks to transport freight across various routes.
Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance.
Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, rest periods, and mileage as per DOT regulations.
Communicate effectively with dispatchers regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays.
Load and unload freight using forklifts or other heavy equipment as needed.
Ensure proper handling of cargo to prevent damage during transit.
Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while on the road.
Perform basic automotive repairs and maintenance on the vehicle as necessary.
Skills
Proficient in heavy equipment operation, particularly in commercial driving settings.
Experience with forklift operation for loading and unloading freight.
Strong knowledge of freight handling procedures and safety protocols.
Basic automotive repair skills for troubleshooting vehicle issues on the road.
Excellent time management skills with the ability to meet tight deadlines.
Solid communication skills for effective interaction with team members and clients.
Ability to work independently and make decisions under pressure.
