ISS Ltd is hiring a mechanic to join our team to help maintain and repair our fleet of highway trucks (on and off road units), trailers and heavy equipment supporting our frac sand and mine haul operations.

We welcome second, third and fourth year apprentices and journeyman mechanics with relevant truck and trailer experience.

Location and Schedule
Afternoon/ evening shift (2pm to 10:30pm, 5 days per week) at our Villeneuve shop for the remainder of the season (approximately end of October). Then move to regular day shift for the offseason, four 10hr days per week.

-Transition to our winter work at our Morinville shop December through April

JOB DESCRIPTION

We are a full service shop doing everything in house.

-Truck and trailer inspections, servicing and preventative maintenance
Brakes, suspension, tires, air systems, electrical troubleshooting and other general repairs
Identifying defects and completing repairs to keep fleet ready for work

-Additional heavy equipment maintenance as needed

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

-Someone who is looking for steady year round work in a low stress atmosphere
A registered apprentice in second year or above or a journeyman with relevant experience





-Practical truck and trailer repair skills

-Ability to complete assigned work appropriate to your training

-Reliable, attention to detail and pride in your repairs

-Able to work in a small shop setting with foreman and other mechanics

-A valid drivers license
