Looking for support staff who is versatile, compassionate, proactive, and who can think one step ahead of our Individual.
Someone who is very active, willing to support our individual in the college in addition to other community supports.
Someone with recent ideas as the individual gets bored so quickly and who can engage them, pay close attention, and connect with the individual at their level.
Duties:
Ensure that the individual's safety and well-being are maintained at all times
Implement the goals outlined in the Individual Service Plan
Keep daily documentation of all activities.
Monitor and report any changes in the individual's behavior
Provide emotional support and companionship to the individual
Follow other instructions provided by supervisors
Requirements:
Previous experience working with an autistic individual is required
Previous experience in a similar role is preferred
Compassionate and patient with individuals with special abilities
Valuable communication skills, both verbal and written
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Reliable and punctual to shift
Ability to follow instructions and Individual Service Plan accurately
Functional vehicle with valid class 5 drivers licence, and $2m liability Insurance
