Brief Job Description for the Production Worker/General Labour position.

Reporting to the Production Supervisor, the production worker will be responsible for packaging and sealing meat products.



The incumbent must be able to maintain line speed with strict adherence to all applicable policies, practices, and legislation including GMP and Food Safe.

Position Responsibilities:
Packaging/Sealing of meat product.
Assemble and disassemble grinder equipment.
Operate scales and bulk packaging equipment.
Process multiple product lines.
Keep up to production line speed while stacking boxes of product.
Assist with various tasks as assigned by lead hands and production supervisors.
Work as part of a team workplace.
Handle both pork and beef products.
Work with spices and allergens safely.
Be willing to adhere to all hygienic food safe requirements in the plant.
Other duties as assigned.

Requirements and Qualifications:
Ability to work in a refrigerated/cold setting.
Physically fit and able to lift, push, and/or pull, weight of up to 50lbs.
Comfort working with various meat products (Pork and Beef, both)
Experience in food manufacturing within a fast-paced workplace is an asset.
Ensure safe and hygienic practices are applied to all tasks performed.
Reliable means to commute to work location.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $18.75 per hour
