Job Overview
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented cleaner to join our team cleaning common areas of small apartment buildings in Guelph. This is a part-time position (21.25 hours per week) with a mix of medium and heavy-duty cleaning tasks. The ideal candidate demonstrates professionalism, consistency, and strong attention to detail. The hours are split between two different locations. Candidates with personal transportation may be better suited to the position.
Key Responsibilities
Clean and maintain common areas of the building.
Clean and stock washrooms.
Perform detailed cleaning of glass, windows, and stainless steel.
Sweep, mop, and maintain large floor areas.
Trouble shooting garbage compactor interruptions.
Collect and remove litter from grounds.
Handle keys, fobs, and elevator bookings responsibly.
Report maintenance issues, damages, leaks, or security concerns to management (including photos when necessary).
Follow all safety protocols and use personal protective equipment as required.
Job Requirements
1+ years of skilled cleaning experience preferred.
Ability to work independently.
Robust work ethic and reliability are essential.
Skilled demeanor when interacting with residents, trades, board members & property management.
Comfortable using a cell phone for communication (messages, photos, emails).
Skills & Attributes
Strong attention to detail.
Time management and ability to follow schedules and checklists.
Familiarity with cleaning high-touch areas such as elevators, restrooms, and windows.
Dependable, consistent, and able to maintain high standards of cleanliness.
Compensation
$18.50/hour to start
