Overview

We are seeking a skilled and dependable Heavy Duty Tow Truck Operator to join our team. This role involves operating a heavy-duty tow truck to assist with vehicle recoveries, rollover recoveries, roadside assistance, and transportation of vehicles. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical background, excellent customer service skills, and experience in automotive repair. This position offers an prospect to work in a dynamic environment with one of Alberta's largest towing operators. The idea candidate will focus on safety, efficiency, and professionalism.

Duties
Operate heavy-duty tow trucks safely and efficiently to recover disabled or damaged vehicles from various locations.
Assist customers with roadside assistance services, including jump-starts, tire changes, and lockouts.
Perform basic vehicle inspections and troubleshoot mechanical issues related to towing equipment.
Use specialized equipment such as forklifts, when necessary for loading or unloading vehicles.
Maintain accurate logs of all towing activities, including details of the vehicle, location, and service performed.
Ensure all safety protocols are followed during operations to prevent accidents or injuries.
Communicate effectively with customers, dispatchers,



and team members to coordinate services and provide excellent customer service.
Keep the tow truck clean, well-maintained, and ready for operation at all times.

Experience
Prior experience operating a heavy-duty tow trucks is required.
Mechanical knowledge related to automotive systems and towing equipment is required.
Customer service experience is a plus, demonstrating professionalism and effective communication skills.
Certification or experience with forklift operation is advantageous but not required.
A valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) is required for this role.
Automotive repair skills will be considered an asset for troubleshooting mechanical issues efficiently.

Pay: $40,385.67-$98,380.15 per year
