Under the direct supervision of the Manager, F&B;, this position is responsible for managing the guest bills with the strictest regard to rules, regulations and outlet operational guidelines while contributing to a secure and welcoming work environment for all team members. This position may serve at a counter, in a restaurant, coffee shop, on a casino floor or other areas. Ensures adherence to the Company's policies and procedures, motivates and leads by example and supports Outstanding Canadian’s learning environment while establishing a safe and welcoming work environment for all team members.
Key Accountabilities
Enters guest bills into the POS
Counts out change and gives to the guest
Explains pricing to guests when requested for clarification
Maintains the cleanliness of the cashier stand and area
Maintains own cash float and count s cash float at end of shift
Performs opening and closing duties as required
Restocks potato chips, candy, etc. (if applicable)
Ensures an adequate stock of napkins, cutlery,
etc.; replenishes when necessary
Ensures tab le availability by communicating with bussing staff
Assists with bussing duties during slower periods
Liaises and communicates effectively with all appropriate operational departments
Develops and cultivates solid working relationships with all stakeholders: guests, ownership and team members
Ensures compliance with licensing laws, health and safety and other statutory regulations
Performs other duties as assigned or directed
Education and Qualifications
High School Diploma; Post Secondary hospitality or hotel education an asset
Minimum 1 year cash handling
POS experience
Ability to successfully obtain a Gaming License
Ability to exceed internal and external customer expectations through timely, effective and service oriented communication
Computer literacy in MS Office
