Duties
Prepare vehicles for refinishing by sanding, masking, and cleaning surfaces to ensure optimal paint adhesion.
Apply primer, base coats, transparent coats, and touch-up paints with precision using spray guns and hand tools.
Inspect vehicles thoroughly to identify areas requiring repair or refinishing, ensuring all work meets quality standards.
Use power tools and hand tools effectively for surface preparation and finishing tasks.
Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety protocols for handling chemicals and equipment.
Assist with minor automotive repairs as needed, leveraging mechanical knowledge to support overall vehicle restoration.
Lift heavy parts or equipment safely during the refinishing process, following proper ergonomic practices.
Skills
Previous dealership experience or automotive repair background highly preferred.
Strong mechanical knowledge combined with proficiency in using hand tools and power tools.
Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently in a busy workshop environment.
Familiarity with automotive painting techniques, including masking, sanding, and finishing processes.
Experience working with automotive repair or collision centers is a plus.
