Responsibilities
Safely operate commercial vehicles to deliver freight to various locations, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations
Load and unload freight using heavy equipment such as forklifts when necessary, ensuring proper handling of goods
Conduct pre-trip inspections of vehicles to confirm they are in optimal condition for daily routes
Verify delivery orders, documentation, and freight accuracy before and after each trip
Communicate effectively with dispatch teams to coordinate delivery schedules and address any issues promptly
Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage,
fuel usage, and vehicle maintenance needs
Assist with basic automotive repairs or troubleshooting minor vehicle issues to minimize downtime
Experience
Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with a clean driving record
Experience operating heavy equipment such as forklifts or other industrial machinery is preferred
Knowledge of freight handling procedures and safety protocols in a delivery setting
Familiarity with automotive repair basics and vehicle maintenance practices is a plus
Prior experience in commercial driving or logistics roles demonstrates reliability and efficiency
