Sushi Island is a Japanese restaurant located on Broad St. Bedford, Halifax NS, offering sushi, sashimi, tempura, ramen, and other popular Japanese dishes. We are currently seeking a Full time server to join our team.

The starting wage is $16.75 per hour, plus tips. Applicants must have a valid SIN number. Previous restaurant experience is considered an asset but is not required.

Responsibilities

Servers
Greet guests warmly and assist with seating arrangements
Serve food and beverages by placing orders on the automated delivery system, and manually deliver items to guests when necessary to ensure timely service.
Ensure proper food handling, sanitation, and safety procedures are followed at all times
Maintain cleanliness of dining areas, tables, and service stations




Manage time effectively to serve multiple tables efficiently during busy periods
Provide excellent guest services by addressing questions, special requests, and resolving concerns professionally

Skills
Knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation practices, and proper food handling techniques
Ability to manage time effectively in a fast-paced workplace
Previous restaurant or food service experience preferred, but not necessarily, we will provide training.
Excellent communication skills for serving guests and collaborating with team members
