Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Automotive Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a solid background in automotive repair and maintenance, with experience in both dealership settings and independent shops. This role requires mechanical knowledge, proficiency with hand and power tools, and the ability to interpret schematics. The Automotive Technician will be responsible for diagnosing issues, performing repairs, and providing exceptional customer service.
Duties
Diagnose and repair automotive systems including engines, transmissions, brakes, and electrical systems.
Perform routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, tire rotations, and fluid checks.
Utilize hand tools and power tools effectively to complete repairs and installations.
Interpret schematics to troubleshoot complex mechanical issues.
Conduct assembly of vehicle components as needed.
Maintain a clean and organized workspace while adhering to safety protocols.
Communicate effectively with customers regarding their vehicle's needs and repair options.
Assist in heavy lifting of automotive parts and equipment as required.
Requirements
Proven experience as an Automotive Technician or Mechanic.
Dealership experience is preferred but not mandatory.
Robust mechanical knowledge with the ability to perform welding tasks when necessary.
Proficient in using hand tools and power tools safely and effectively.
Ability to perform heavy lifting (up to 50 pounds) as part of daily responsibilities.
Excellent customer service skills to interact positively with clients.
Familiarity with automotive repair techniques, maintenance procedures, and industry standards.
