Recreation Therapist – Full time

Monday - Friday 8:00am – 4:30pm
Must be adaptable & weekends might be required based on operational needs

The Academy of Aging is looking for a Full-Time Recreation Therapist. The Recreation Therapist is responsible for developing and promoting a variety of activities that include internal and external opportunities for socialization across the religious and ethnic backgrounds of Residents. The Recreation Therapist leads the Recreation Team and works in collaboration with all other departments to implement appropriate activities, and to produce the monthly Resident Newsletter and Activity Calendar.

What you offer:
Superb written and oral communication skills




Experience in planning activities and events
Degree or Diploma in Recreation Therapy
Current First Aid/CPR Certification required.
Proven experience with seniors, assisted living and memory care (completion and/or willingness to complete Mount Royal Dementia Care Certificate)
Class 4 License (ability to obtain)
Sound judgment and problem-solving abilities
Exceptional computer skills
Solid self-awareness and accountability
