The Academy for Mathematics & English tutors students from SK to grade 12 for Math and English, and grades 11 & 12 in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology. We are currently recruiting passionate & knowledgeable candidates to be our tutors for one of our Markham locations.

Candidates who do not live in Markham will not be considered.

Job Description:
Tutors MUST be experienced in tutoring Grade SK to Grade 12 for Math or English in addition to at least one of the other subjects we specialize in , including Chemistry, Physics, and Biology.

The ideal candidate would be able to tutor Gr. 12 Math or English at AP and IB levels.
Sessions are held in the afternoon, evenings and/or Saturdays




Tutors work with the same students on a daily/weekly basis
Tutors are not required to prepare lesson plans and the teaching curriculum is provided
This is a permanent part time position

Requirements:
Candidates MUST have a degree in the related fields or currently studying in them
Candidates MUST be fluent in written and spoken English.
A minimum of 1 year tutoring experience
Candidates must be available Monday to Friday from 3:30pm to 8:30pm and Saturday from 9:30am to 4:00pm - minimum of 2 days per week.

This position is only for In-person tutoring not virtual

Pay: From $19.00 per hour
