Company Background:

Katalyst Chartered Professional Accountants, a public practice accounting firm, is currently seeking an enthusiastic, motivated and detail-oriented Junior Staff Accountant to join our team at our Marpole office. We are a highly dedicated and enthusiastic team that works exclusively with owner-managed businesses and private companies providing both accounting and tax services.

Responsibilities:
Preparation of compilation financial statements;
Completion of personal, trust and corporate tax returns;
Preparation of year-end working papers in accordance with established standards;
Preparation of T3/T4/T5 Returns, NR4 returns, and WorksafeBC returns;
Preparation of GST returns; and
Maintaining client relationships to ensure accurate and timely completion of tasks assigned

Requirements:
Excellent communication skills with the ability to communicate clearly and effectively with clients, representatives, and team members;




Proactive self-starter that strives to develop through continuously learning from experience and seeks out feedback and development opportunities;
Detail oriented individual with excellent organizational and analytical skills;
Ability to manage time, multitask and adhere to deadlines;
Ability to work independently and in a team workplace;
Previous experience in accounting would be considered an asset;
Previous experience with Quickbooks, Taxprep and Caseware would be considered an asset.
