Drake Excavating (2016) Ltd. is a civil general contracting company operating throughout British Columbia, primarily in the Lower Mainland. We specialize in public municipal infrastructure projects, delivering both civil and mechanical solutions with a focus on safety, quality, and teamwork. We are currently seeking an experienced Heavy Equipment Operator to join our team.

Skills / Qualifications and Requirements
Minimum 3 years of experience running excavators of various sizes on utility installation projects
Minimum 3 years of experience running excavators, backhoe, log loaders, dozers, skidders
Clean and valid drivers license and be able to get to and from the job sites
Experience with storm, sanitary, water, communications, and hydro installations
Experience with logging
Maintain equipment (Pre-trip inspections, grease, and clean cab daily)
Ability to work in a quick-paced setting
Experience working on active roadways
Experience working around live utilities
Willingness to work as part of a team
Safety conscious
Ground disturbance knowledge




Operate and control the equipment safely in changing ground conditions
Advise operations of any issues with equipment
Respect equipment and attachments
Must be willing to work overtime
Must be able to work out of town as need (Whistler, Squamish, areas of the island, Okanagan)

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $35.00-$45.00 per hour
