Job Summary

The Briars Resort & Spa is looking for a reliable and hardworking
Cooker & Kitchen Helper to join our kitchen team.

This is a hands-on position supporting daily kitchen operations, including food preparation, basic cooking, cleaning, and assisting the culinary team during regular service, events, and functions.

Responsibilities
Assist with food preparation, including washing, cutting, portioning, and preparing ingredients
Prepare and cook basic menu items as required
Assist cooks and kitchen staff during meal service and events
Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary kitchen and food preparation area
Wash dishes, cookware, utensils, and kitchen equipment as needed
Properly store food and supplies and follow food safety procedures
Assist with receiving and organizing kitchen supplies
Support the kitchen team wherever needed during busy periods
Follow all health, safety, sanitation, and workplace procedures

Qualifications
Previous kitchen, restaurant, hotel,



or food preparation experience is preferred
Basic cooking skills are an asset
Food Handler Certificate is an asset
Reliable, punctual, and able to work well as part of a team
Able to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen workplace
Able to stand for extended periods and perform regular physical duties, including lifting and carrying kitchen supplies
Must be available for a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as required

We are looking for someone who is dependable, hardworking, versatile, and willing to help wherever needed in the kitchen.

Experience:
Kitchen / food preparation: 1 year preferred

Schedule may include:
Day shifts
Evening shifts
Weekends
Holidays
Event and banquet shifts

Pay: $17.60-$25.00 per hour
