THE JOB
Looking for a hands-on outdoor role where you can stay active and work as part of a team We're looking for reliable Crack Sealing Crew Members to help maintain and extend the life of roadways. You'll assist with preparing pavement, applying crack sealant, setting up work areas, and operating small equipment as needed. This is a quick-paced role that involves working outdoors around traffic, hot materials, and construction equipment. The position is expected to run for approximately two months.
WHY YOU SHOULD APPLY
Approximately two-month assignment;
Evening and overnight shifts;
Typically meet at the shop around 7:00 p.m. and return around 5:00–6:00 a.m.;
$23 - $25/hr
Outdoor work in a team workplace;
Client can provide hard hat, safety glasses, gloves, and coveralls;
REQUIREMENTS
To be considered for this position, candidates must have a stated explicit criminal record and provide an ISL WHMIS card. Crack filling experience is considered an asset, as is previous experience with hand tools,
power tools, or other construction-related work. Candidates must be comfortable walking and working on their feet for the full shift and lifting up to 20 lbs. CSA-approved steel-toed boots are required. Employees should wear jeans or work pants and a long-sleeved shirt. This position involves working around open flames, hot tar, traffic, and F250 trucks, so candidates must remain aware of their surroundings and follow all safety procedures. Own transportation to and from the shop is required.
