North East Outreach and Support Services Inc. is seeking a Shelter Worker with empathy for victims of interpersonal violence. Qualifications include a minimum of Grade 12 and up to two years of relevant experience. Successful candidates will possess crisis management skills, excellent communication abilities, and a familiarity with Microsoft Office.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide compassionate support to shelter residents
• Maintain a safe and non-judgmental environment
• Assist with crisis management when needed
• Document resident interactions and activities
• Manage tasks effectively across shifts
Requirements:
• Minimum Grade 12 education
• Up to 2 years experience in human services
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to work versatile evening and night hours
• Knowledge of interpersonal violence protocols
