Cyclic Materials is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to join their dynamic Engineering and Technology team. This role involves design, commissioning, and continuous improvement of mechanical processes critical to recycling rare earth elements. You will work either from our Toronto or Kingston office and may occasionally travel to plant sites to enhance operational success.
Key Responsibilities:
• Prepare and lead equipment specifications and selection
• Create mechanical designs and fabrication drawings
• Manage equipment procurement and interface with vendors
• Develop maintenance plans for major equipment
• Mentor junior engineers and support technical specifications
Requirements:
• Bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering or similar field
• 5-10 years of engineering experience in heavy industry
• Proficiency in Solid Works, including advanced modules
• Knowledge of regulatory standards like CSA and OSHA
• Robust problem-solving and attention to detail
