The Welding Shop is currently hiring Structural Steel Fitters / CWB Welders to join our growing fabrication team.
Founded in 1969, The Welding Shop is an established fabrication shop known for quality workmanship and a strong commitment to safety. Many of our employees have been with us for 30+ years, creating a stable and experienced team environment.
This is a shop fabrication position working with structural and miscellaneous steel components.
Responsibilities
Fit and assemble structural steel beams and columns
Fabricate handrails and miscellaneous metal components
Read and interpret blueprints and shop drawings
Fit, tack, and prepare steel components for welding
Perform FCAW and SMAW welding
Operate equipment including welders, grinders, and torches
Maintain secure work practices and proper PPE
Requirements
Valid CWB Certification
Experience with FCAW and SMAW welding processes
Ability to read fabrication drawings and blueprints
Experience fitting structural and miscellaneous steel
Ability to work independently and within a team
Knowledge of shop safety practices and hazards
