Job Summary
We are seeking an Optometric Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will assist in providing exceptional eye care services to our patients, ensuring a seamless and effective experience.

Duties
Conduct preliminary testing for patients, including visual acuity, color vision, depth perception, and peripheral vision
Perform diagnostic tests such as auto-refraction, lensometry, and tonometry
Assist with contact lens insertion, removal, and training
Maintain accurate patient records using electronic medical records (EMR) systems
Support the optometrist during eye exams and procedures
Educate patients on proper eyewear care and usage
Handle front desk duties including scheduling appointments and verifying insurance information

Skills
Proficiency in using Epic or other electronic health record systems
Knowledge of optical terminology and procedures
Strong sales skills to assist patients in selecting eyewear




Familiarity with medical terminology related to optometry
Excellent patient care and interpersonal skills
Experience in retail sales or customer service is a plus
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced workplace
Knowledge of pediatric optometry is advantageous
Previous experience in a medical office setting is preferred

Must be able to work evenings and weekends

Fulltime @ Millwoods

Partime @ Southgate, Westmount, Westedmonton

Pay: $17.00-$20.00 per hour
