Duties & Responsibilities
Perform preventative maintenance, diagnostics, annual safety inspections, and repairs on trucks and specialized equipment.
Diagnose and repair diesel engines, emissions systems, hydraulic systems, and related mechanical issues.
Service Class 3–9 highway trucks, trailers, hydrovac and vacuum equipment, municipal equipment, hydraulic equipment, and similar specialty units.
Troubleshoot equipment issues and complete repairs efficiently to minimize downtime.
Inspect equipment, identify repair needs, and confirm safe, reliable operation after service.
Support daily shop repair priorities while following safe and effective work practices.

Requirements
Required:
- 3+ years of mechanic experience with on-highway trucks, heavy equipment,



or specialty equipment such as hydrovac, hydraulic, or municipal units.
Hands-on experience diagnosing and repairing diesel engines, emissions systems, and hydraulic systems.
Valid 310T Truck and Coach Technician licence 2nd- or 3rd-level apprentices are also considered.
Clean driver’s abstract.
Solid troubleshooting skills with the ability to complete maintenance, inspections, diagnostics, and repairs safely and efficiently.
SJ1 Compensation:
$45.00–$65.00/hour starting pay based on qualifications and experience
