We are looking for a Loan Administrator to join their team.

The Loan

Administrator is responsible to perform day-to-day tasks to successfully execute operations related to loan activity, and to use available resources to ensure pro-efficiently the productivity and quality of the Loan Operations platform Job summary The Loan Administrator is part of the OPC-FTO Loan Operations teams located in New York and Mumbai and works in coordination with Business Support groups. The incumbent performs the daily tasks required to successfully execute operations related to the bank's loan activities while ensuring the productivity and quality of the Loan Operations platform.

The Loan Administrator is also responsible for:

- Managing the local U.S. referential and certain processes related to the U.S. Data Management unit.
- Supporting loan production within a team of three to five members, as part of a broader group of approximately 15 employees.
- Performing the daily administration and servicing of loans for which the bank acts as a participant, agent or direct lender.

Main responsibilities Day-to-day Tasks and operations - Administer drawdowns, rollovers, repayments, prepayments, funding, rate fixings, fees and commission postings, external payments, interest collections and Nostro reconciliations.

- Perform the general administration of the assigned loan portfolio, including ad hoc inquiries, investigations and the monitoring of all associated data under the unit’s responsibility.
- Assume daily responsibility for administering all bank's facilities and associated products.
- Ensure that all business-as-usual processes are completed in a timely and efficient manner and that all required controls are followed. Learning and development - Maintain the appropriate level of knowledge required to remain fully qualified for the role.
- Complete all mandatory training necessary to attain and maintain professional competence.

Data Quality

Management and Controls - Ensure compliance with all required controls and procedures related to the local regulations of the branches being serviced.

- Escalate any issues, problems or control gaps to the Team Leader.

Process

Improvement and Projects - Undertake ad hoc responsibilities and project work to assist the management team.

- Assist management with system enhancements when required, particularly User Acceptance Testing activities. Legal and Regulatory Responsibilities Comply with all applicable legal, regulatory and internal compliance requirements, including Canadian platform policies, the Compliance Manual and all compliance policies and procedures issued periodically.



This also includes compliance with financial security requirements related to the prevention of financial crime and fraud, including reporting obligations to the Money Laundering Reporting Officer.

Experience required - Bachelor’s or master’s degree in business, management, information technology or a related field.

- Three to five years of experience in commercial banking operations; ACBS experience is preferred.
- Proficiency with loan, payment and other internal systems. Training will be provided.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Word and Excel.
- Strong problem-solving and investigative skills, with the ability to analyze and resolve issues related to loan operations.
- Ability to work in project mode and contribute to IT-led initiatives, primarily User Acceptance Testing sessions.
- Ability to communicate clearly and concisely while adapting content and style to the audience.
- Strong collaboration skills, including the ability to work successfully with colleagues across the organization and use their different skills and experience to achieve shared objectives.
- Experience in loan administration and the ability to understand the terms and conditions of loan agreements.
- Sound knowledge of general banking operations, including accounting, funding, Nostro movements and cash management.
- Ability to communicate with Business Support groups located across the bank's international branches.
- Strong analytical ability, using current information to understand issues, identify problems and initiate appropriate remedial actions.
- Strong analytical, organizational and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to build strong working relationships and encourage collaboration among team members.
- Ability to communicate fluently and clearly, both verbally and in writing.
- Adaptable and flexible, with the ability to manage multiple stakeholders.
