Adecco is currently seeking an experienced Project Controls Analyst to support a portfolio of capital projects within a large industrial environment. This role is heavily focused on cost control, forecasting, reporting, variance analysis, and project financial performance across multiple capital projects.
We're looking for an intermediate to senior-level professional with strong project controls expertise and the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced project setting.
Location: Fort McMurray, AB
Contract: 12 months with high possibility of long term extension
Schedule: Monday to Friday | 8-Hour Days
Pay Rate: $60 - $80/hour
Key Responsibilities
Cost tracking, forecasting, and variance analysis across multiple capital projects
Develop and maintain project cost reports, forecasts, and performance metrics
Analyze planned vs. actual costs and provide recommendations to project stakeholders
Support project estimating, change management, and trend analysis
Review contractor change proposals and assess cost impacts
Monitor project progress and provide financial insight to support decision-making
Assist with project benchmarking, analytics, and performance reporting
Support project closeout activities and lessons learned processes
Collaborate with engineering, construction,
and project management teams
Qualifications
5+ years of experience in Project Cost Control, Cost Engineering, or related disciplines
Strong experience supporting capital projects ranging from approximately $5M to $100M+
AACEI Certified Cost Professional (CCP) designation is considered a solid asset
Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Business, Finance, or related field preferred
Proven ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects simultaneously
Experience with cost forecasting, budgeting, earned value, change management, and reporting
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Advanced Excel and project controls systems experience
Preferred Industry Experience: Oil & Gas, Mining, Heavy Industrial Construction, EPC / Capital Projects and Large Infrastructure Projects
