The Calgary Classical Academy is now accepting applications for a Campus Tutor for the 2026/2027 academic year.

Calgary Classical is a charter public school of the Alberta Classical Academy which offers an academically rigorous liberal arts education focused on developing “the knowledge, virtues, and habits befitting free citizens.” Among the school’s distinct features are a smartphone-free environment; its embrace of traditional pedagogy and teacher-led classrooms; a knowledge-rich curriculum centred on classical and enduring works of literature, philosophy, and art; a focus on character and the nurturing of virtues; a culture of friendship and leisure (scholē); and an explicit commitment to the pursuit of truth, beauty, and wisdom.

Position Functions and Responsibilities:
Instructional Support

Providing instructional support under teacher’s guidance.

Tracking and reporting student progress

Diagnostic testing for reporting purposes

Preparing instructional materials

Teacher Support

Marking and recording students’ work

Assisting in the supervision of class work

Communicating regularly with classroom teachers on student-related instructional issues

Student Support





Reviewing of grade -appropriate curricular material with students asassigned by the teacher

Providing additional support to those students as indicated by theteacher(s)

Other related duties as assigned

Qualifications:

A commitment to the charter and guiding principals of the Academy

A proven ability to support students in their academic and moral development

The ability to provide an effective learning setting forstudents – one with clear, high expectations, and specific, articulated learning goals;

A supportive and caring manner with children and a belief that all students can learn

Demonstrates initiative and is solution-oriented

Willingness to be a leader and to contribute in a positive manner to the entireschool community

A belief in continuous learning and a desire to continuously improve
