Job Type: Full-time, PermanentHybrid | Primarily RemoteOverviewEnaly Consulting Ltd. is seeking a motivatedMechanical Engineer-in-Training (EIT)to join our Edmonton team.This is an excellent prospect for a recent Mechanical Engineering graduate or early-career EIT looking to build broad experience across building, industrial, and oil and gas mechanical systems within a multidisciplinary consulting engineering environment.Working alongside experienced senior engineers, you will contribute to the design and delivery of mechanical systems for a variety of projects. You will gain exposure to the full project lifecycle, including assessments, calculations, equipment selection, drawings, specifications, cost estimating, procurement support, construction administration, commissioning, and site reviews.The ideal candidate has strong engineering fundamentals, practical problem-solving skills, and a genuine interest in developing across a range of mechanical systems and project environments.This is a hybrid role, with the majority of work completed remotely, supported by in-person collaboration, site investigations, client meetings, and construction reviews as required.ResponsibilitiesMechanical EngineeringSupport the assessment and design of heating plants, boilers, steam and condensate systems, hydronic systems, HVAC, piping, mechanical equipment, and facility utility systemsSupport mechanical engineering for building, industrial, and oil and gas applicationsPerform engineering calculations including equipment sizing, pipe sizing, pressure drop, heating and cooling loads, and hydronic calculationsAssist with equipment specification, evaluation, selection, and procurementPrepare equipment lists, schedules, datasheets, material take-offs, specifications, reports, and other technical documentationRead, interpret, and contribute to mechanical drawings, schematics, and P&IDsAssist with the preparation of engineering drawings, cost estimates,



specifications, and contract documentsProject & Multidisciplinary CoordinationCoordinate mechanical designs with process, electrical, structural, and other engineering disciplinesParticipate in design reviews and project coordination meetingsCommunicate with clients, contractors, vendors, suppliers, and other project stakeholdersSupport vendor document reviews and technical bid evaluationsMaintain accurate engineering and project documentationConstruction & Field SupportParticipate in existing-facility assessments, site investigations, and field measurementsAssist with shop drawing, submittal, RFI, and technical query reviewsSupport construction reviews, inspections, field engineering, and commissioning activitiesConsider constructability, facility operations, maintenance requirements, and installation constraints throughout design developmentSafety, Quality & ComplianceApply applicable engineering codes and standards under the guidance of senior engineersFollow established engineering quality processes and proceduresSupport the delivery of safe, practical, constructible, and code-compliant engineering solutionsQualificationsBachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited institutionRegistered as an Engineer-in-Training (EIT)
