About the Role Reporting to an engaged, governance-focused Board, the Executive Director leads WCL in its mission to advance gender justice and substantive equality. TheExecutive Directorsets strategic direction alongside the Board; champions the organization’s legal and public education work;stewardsrelationships with community partners, funders, governments, and the broader sector; and isultimately accountablefor the organization’s finances, operations, and people. TheExecutive Directorbrings clarity and care to their leadership, fostering a healthy, values-aligned workplace.




This is an exciting opportunity for a progressive, values-driven leader with a demonstrated commitment to advancing gender justice and human rights. The ideal candidate has at leastfiveyears of progressive senior leadership experience in the non-profit sector (equivalent experience in other sectors will be considered). TheExecutive Directorbrings a strongtrack recordin fund development, supporting high-performing teams, and turning strategy into action. They also bring experience with non-profit governance, community engagement, and intersectional feminist advocacy.

The salary for this full-time position is $125,000 – $135,000 supplemented by a competitive total compensation package. This is a full time, hybrid position with a minimum of two days per week on-site at WCL’s downtown Vancouver office.
