The Government of Nunavut seeks a agile leader for the role of Assistant Deputy Minister within the Department of Health. This senior position involves advancing mental health strategies and strengthening services tailored for Nunavut communities. The ideal candidate will engage closely with partners to enhance culturally responsive programs and improve access to mental health services in remote areas.

Key Responsibilities:
• Provide leadership in mental health and addictions services
• Modernize and integrate community health programs




• Collaborate with Inuit organizations and service providers
• Enhance access to mental health services in remote communities
• Promote culturally informed wellness initiatives

Requirements:
• Degree in health sciences or related field
• Senior leadership experience in mental health or addictions
• Knowledge of Inuit culture and communities
• Experience in Indigenous or northern contexts
• Successful Criminal Record Check required

Engage in meaningful leadership to improve mental health outcomes for communities in Nunavut.
