As an Assistant Projects Engineer in the State Aid for Local Transportation Division, you will work directly under the Projects Engineer to implement program goals and assist in managing jurisdictional transfers. You will coordinate communications between various governmental units and support special projects related to state aid programs. The role allows you to contribute to the well-being of Minnesota communities while growing your engineering expertise.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assist with program implementation and policy procedures
• Coordinate jurisdictional transfers with local agencies
• Support project management and technical research
• Share knowledge on technical and legislative issues
• Provide assistance in special state aid projects
Requirements:
• Qualified engineer licensure in Minnesota required
• Experience with highway engineering practices
• Knowledge of state and local government roles preferred
• Familiarity with Minnesota Rules Chapter 8820 preferred
• Background check is mandatory
