Senior Researcher – Analytical Chemistry, Cellulose Derivatives

We are looking for a Senior Researcher with a strong foundation in analytical chemistry, who brings precision, curiosity and a hands‑on approach to method development to join our team. Does that sound like you?

About the job

As part of our PC&A; Cellulose Derivatives team in Äänekoski, you will be providing a crucial service in product development, directly supporting application R&D; teams and production improvements, and contributing a valuable input to future innovations.

In your future role as Senior Researcher, PC&A; Cellulose Derivatives you will

Plan, execute, and report with statistical relevance analytical studies

Take ownership of the accuracy, timeliness, and quality of analytical results and reporting

Improve and expand our analytical capabilities

Maintain and oversee the condition of analytical equipment

Contribute to a safe working environment by following safety policies

We believe you bring

An MSc in Chemistry, or an equivalent applicable field

Robust expertise in analytical techniques and instruments, especially in chromatography (LC and GC), but not excluding basic wet chemistry

Experience in method development and validation

Good written and spoken English skills

Accuracy and attention to detail, with strong planning and problem-solving skills

Great if you have

A PhD in analytical chemistry

Experience in synthesis and working with polysaccharides and/or other polymers

Experience in usage of statistical tools
