Join Beacon Community Services as a Health Care Assistant (HCA) at Parry Place! We are excited to be expanding our Assisted Living services under BC’s recent model of care and are hiring for a regular night line. This is a unique opportunity to be part of a newly formed team and contribute to building a supportive, person-centred care environment from the ground up. In this role, you’ll provide daily living support, encouragement, and companionship to seniors in a respectful, home-like setting, helping residents live with dignity, independence, and comfort while making a positive difference every day.
Days/Hours of Work: 7:00 am to 3:00 pm, 4 on 4 off

What You’ll Do
Help residents with daily living activities (bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting).
Support safe mobility, transfers, and use of lifts/assistive devices.
Assist with meals, hydration, and comfort routines.
Support resident laundry, including washing, drying, folding, and returning personal items as needed.
Facilitate recreational and social activities.
Provide medication reminders and support self-administration.
Observe and report changes in resident health or behaviour.
Keep rooms and equipment clean and safe.
Participate in team meetings and respond to emergencies.
Other duties as required
What You Bring
Completion of a recognized Health Care Assistant program.
Registered with the BC Care Aide & Community Health Worker Registry.
First Aid & CPR Level C, FoodSafe Level 1
Experience in assisted living, long-term care, or home support
Respectful, compassionate, and patient approach.
Good communication and documentation skills.
Ability to work independently and in a team.
Physically able to perform lifting, transfers, and other duties.
