- Seeking new graduate or recently graduated EITs
- Undergraduate degree in Mining, Civil or Geological Engineering
- Registered or are immediately eligible for membership with the Association of Professional Engineers,
Geologists and Geophysicists of Alberta (APEGA)
- Strong computer skills
- Experience with Microsoft Office suite of programs
- Knowledge of CADD systems
- Alberta Class 5 Driver’s License or equivalent Responsibilities:
- Develop designs and calculate volumes as required for integrated mine and tailings plans
- Create and present plans and stewardships on productivity, geological and geotechnical risks, water management, mining rates and equipment capabilities with originality
- Conduct field tours and observations as needed to monitor plan execution
- Communication with Operations and field personnel to support plan execution as required
- Devise new approaches and apply current processes in new ways every single day
- Analyze technical data and draw conclusions from comparative situations
- Independently plan and conduct projects to improve mine efficiency as required
- Be a dedicated role model for safety policies, procedures and practices
- Plan and organize work for the reclamation and sustainability of our growing operations Location and other Key details:
- Positions are located in Fort McMurray, AB
- Our engineering roles follow internal compensation guidelines and the pay band will generally be based years of experience and scope of work
- If you reside outside of Fort McMurray, relocation of your primary residence to within 60 km of Fort McMurray is mandatory. Relocation support will be provided
