STEM Innovation Academy is a public charter school in Calgary serving Grades 7–12.

Our mission is to inspire the next generation to be knowledgeable creators, innovators, and responsible leaders. We combine rigorous academic programming with authentic STEM experiences, leadership development, and post‑secondary pathways. Education and Experience

Valid Alberta Teaching Certificate

Bachelor of Education Degree or equivalent recognized by Alberta Education

Demonstrated Skills and Competencies

Exemplary, evidence-based instructional practices

Understanding, confidence, skill, knowledge,



and adherence to the Alberta Program of Studies

Capacity to demonstrate differentiated instructional practices, effective student engagement strategies, and outcome‑based assessment practices

Collaboration with staff team in developing innovative learning experiences for students

Strong ability to build and maintain trusting relationships with students, colleagues, and parents

Commitment to infusing technology into core curriculum where appropriate

Innovator's mindset - willingness to take risks and adapt to recent challenges and interested in acquiring new skills

Willingness to adapt and grow in a constantly evolving workplace

Competent in using online learning support tools
