We are looking for enthusiastic and compassionate individuals to join our team on a temporary basis from as soon as possible to June 24, 2027. Bus Attendants must be available to work before and after school on split shifts. Hours will be dependent on location of the student(s), school and the Attendant. There is no requirement for the Attendant to have access to their own transportation, as the bus will pick up and drop off the Attendant at their residence. This route provides support for a student attending St. Mark HS located at 1040 Dozois Road, Manotick.

Responsibilities

Ensuring the students comfort and safety during transportation

Assist students safely as they enter or exit the vehicle

Immediately report any problems or emergencies during transit to the Driver

Communicate issues directly with the Supervisor (Principal)

Ensure students are not left unattended

Maintains appropriate documentation as required

Upholds confidentiality of student information

Qualifications

Secondary School Diploma or equivalent

Previous experience working with children with exceptionalities would be considered an asset

Previous school board experience would be considered an asset

Good interpersonal and communication skills

Team player and good decision making ability

Up to date First Aid and CPR are considered an asset

Schedule
Split shifts (morning and afternoon routes) 5 days per week with the exception of PD days and regular school breaks. Bell times are 8:15am - 2:20pm

Salary
Hourly wage is $23.32/hour per hour plus 4% in lieu of vacation pay.

Start Date
This is a temporary position starting approximately asap with an anticipated end date of June 24, 2027.
