Compensation Range

$6,143.67 - $8,830.25 CAD Monthly The Compensation Range is the span between the minimum and maximum base salary for a position. The midpoint of the range is approximately halfway between the minimum and the maximum and represents an employee that possesses full job knowledge, qualifications and experience for the position. In the normal course, employees will be hired, transferred or promoted between the minimum and midpoint of the salary range for a job.

Job Summary The Operations Manager is responsible for the overall delivery of Dean's Office administration and Faculty operations in support of the Faculty's academic, research, and administrative priorities. The role leads operational projects and continuous improvement initiatives, developing policies, procedures, and service standards that enhance the effective delivery of administrative, facility,



and workplace services. Working collaboratively with faculty, staff, university service units, and external partners, the Operations Manager supports the delivery of facilities, space, safety, and event operations across the Faculty.

The role also serves as the Faculty Safety Coordinator and Building Emergency Warden, providing leadership for health, safety, security, and emergency management programs.

Organizational Status

Reports to the Associate Director, Operations and Administration and receives broad direction from the Deans and Associate Deans. Works closely with the department administrators, faculty, staff, students, Building Operations, Campus Security, Workplace Health Services, Information Technology, and other university partners.

Work Performed

Operational Leadership & Dean's Office Administration

Manages the delivery of the Dean's Office operations, including administrative services, workplace practices, procurement, vendor relationships, and office resources.

Establishes policies, procedures, and service delivery standards for workplace practices, administrative services, events, operations and external activities.

Leads operational projects and initiatives that support Faculty priorities by determining scope, allocation of resources and overseeing implementation

Provides operational support to the Dean's Office leadership team, managing executive administrative functions,



and serving as the designated alternate to the Executive Coordinator.

Participates on committees, working groups and special projects as required

Facility Operations

Oversees faculty-wide facility operations, including space planning, renovations, maintenance, relocations, asset management, building access, and workplace operations.

Manages facility management systems to support planning, space utilization, asset stewardship, and operational decision-making.

Oversees the Faculty's safety, security, and emergency management programs, coordinating with university service units, Campus Security, Emergency Management, and external contractors to facility operations.

Events & Faculty Engagement

Plans, designs, and delivers Faculty-wide events, conferences, ceremonies, retreats, and executive functions, determining event scope, operational requirements, resource allocation, and delivery strategies

Manages event operations, including budgets, contracts, vendor relationships, logistics, travel, technical services, and related resources to ensure successful delivery.

Develops and implements Faculty-wide employee engagement, recognition, wellness, and community-building initiatives that support Faculty culture and priorities.

Consequence of Error/Judgement

Exercises significant independent judgment in operational planning, facilities management, workplace safety, space allocation, executive support, and event management. Decisions directly affect the continuity of Faculty operations, regulatory compliance, financial stewardship, workplace safety, and the reputation of the Dean's Office. Errors may result in operational disruption, financial loss, compliance issues, safety risks, or reputational impact.
