Alpha House seeks a Compassionate Outreach Worker to assist Calgary's vulnerable population. This full time position focuses on empowering individuals facing addiction and mental health issues. The term position lasts three months and provides unique outreach prospects. Successful candidates will demonstrate empathy and persistence while engaging with clients through crisis situations.
Responsibilities include working collaboratively with partner organizations to provide crucial support and resources tailored to individual client needs. Key Responsibilities:
Conduct outreach sweeps and engage with vulnerable individuals
Assist clients in navigating available services
Provide transportation to secure locations as required
Respond to crises and provide on-the-spot assistance
Advocate for clients’ specific needs with various stakeholders Requirements:
2-year diploma or degree in relevant field
Minimum 1 year experience in outreach or case management
Familiarity with addiction recovery and community resources
Valid Class 5 driver’s license; obtain Class 4 within 60 days
