What You'll Be Doing As a 310T Licensed Truck & Fleet Mechanic, you will:
Conduct routine diagnostics and maintenance on fleet assets
Perform required inspections according to regulatory and industry specifications
Review driver inspection reports and complete required repairs
Road test vehicles and perform diagnostic testing on vehicle systems and components
Diagnose and repair mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems
Read and work from electrical and mechanical schematics
Stay current with advances in vehicle repair systems, equipment, and technology




Complete work orders in TMW and maintain accurate records of repairs and maintenance
Monitor parts inventory and replenish parts as required
Coach, guide, and provide technical oversight to Shop Apprentices
Follow all workplace safety policies, regulations, and compliance requirements
Maintain a safe, clean, productive, and efficient work area
Perform other duties as assigned
Required: 310T certification
3-5 years of trade experience
Proven mechanical abilities in hydraulics and electrical systems
Experience with schematics and diagnostics
Ability and willingness to coach and mentor apprentices within a registered apprenticeship program
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a busy environment
Tools appropriate for fleet maintenance
G Class driver's licence
PC literacy with mid-level proficiency in Microsoft Office and job-related software
Preferred: AZ driver's licence
Welding experience
Practical experience with a Transportation Management System (TMS)
The Work Environment You'll primarily work in a heavy equipment and fleet maintenance shop environment , performing hands-on service, diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs.
