Your New Role Reporting to the Controller, the Cost Accountant will play a critical role in supporting manufacturing operations through accurate product costing, inventory valuation, operational reporting, and financial analysis. Working closely with Operations, Engineering, and Supply Chain teams, you will be responsible for analyzing standard costs, monitoring manufacturing variances, maintaining inventory integrity, and providing meaningful reporting that supports operational decision-making and profitability. Key responsibilities include: Analyzing and maintaining standard costs across materials, labour, and overhead components.



Monitoring manufacturing variances including material usage, labour efficiency, and overhead absorption. Ensuring accurate inventory valuation and compliance with accounting standards and company policies. Supporting cycle counts, physical inventory processes, inventory reconciliations, and inventory controls. Monitoring WIP and finished goods inventory balances and investigating discrepancies. Preparing monthly manufacturing cost reports, KPI dashboards, and variance analyses. Delivering insights and recommendations to improve manufacturing efficiency, cost control, and profitability. Supporting month-end close activities related to costing, inventory, and manufacturing operations. Acting as a key finance resource for ERP processes related to costing, inventory management, production reporting, and master data integrity.
