Join Taproot Community Support Services as an Overnight Residential Support Worker. This full time position focuses on assisting residents with developmental disabilities during overnight hours to ensure their safety and well-being.
In this role, you will be vital in maintaining a safe environment for two individuals with developmental disabilities at a new group home in Abbotsford. Working from 11 PM to 7 AM, you must monitor residents and assist with their medical and behavioral needs. Collaboration and communication with the day staff and emergency response will be crucial to your success.
Key Responsibilities:
• Monitor residents' well-being throughout the night • Administer medications per established policies • Follow up on directions from day staff • Ensure compliance with house rules and curfews • Maintain cleanliness of living spaces and perform minor maintenance
Requirements: • Grade 12 education and related certificate or experience • Current Occupational First Aid Level 1 certification • Experience with behavior management preferred • Ability to complete a Criminal Record Check • Familiarity with basic computer applications
