Extendicare is seeking a compassionate Assistant Director of Care to lead our clinical teams and enhance resident care. This full-time position emphasizes safe, high-quality service and effective team collaboration.

As the Assistant Director of Care, you will report to the Director of Care and have significant responsibilities in managing clinical programs, compliance, and quality improvement initiatives. You will engage closely with residents, families, and the interdisciplinary team, focusing on continuous care enhancements. Your leadership will drive exceptional service and employee engagement, aligning with Extendicare's mission of providing people-centered support.

Key Responsibilities:
• Manage assigned program areas under Extendicare’s Model of Care
• Monitor compliance with all regulatory and accreditation standards




• Lead quality improvement initiatives for enhanced resident outcomes
• Engage with vendors and community health partners
• Foster team performance through mentorship and training

Requirements:
• Minimum three years of experience as Registered Nurse
• Managerial experience in a health care setting preferred
• Valid nursing registration/licensing
• Experience with EHR systems, particularly Point Click Care
• Strong clinical and leadership skills
