Interior Health is seeking an experienced and dynamic Registered Nurse to join our Emergency Overflow team at the Kelowna General Hospital in Kelowna, BC. About The Job

Practices in a variety of clinical settings and is responsible for the assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of client care

Works in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team

Ensures the delivery of client-centered care by assisting individual clients and their families respond to changing health care needs

Demonstrates a specialized body of knowledge and bases practice on nursing science and related content from other sciences and humanities

We currently have multiple Permanent opportunities available.




Shifts of work will be scheduled days and nights rotating from 07:00 to 19:00, 19:00 to 07:00 hours.

About this Location
Kelowna General Hospital (KGH) is a tertiary referral hospital serving Kelowna and communities throughout the Interior of British Columbia. With approximately 100,000 patient visits annually, the KGH Emergency Department is one of the busiest in the province, caring for patients across a wide range of acuity and complexity. The Emergency Department offers nurses experience across several specialized clinical areas, including:

Main Emergency Department: 15 monitored treatment spaces and 3 trauma rooms

Streaming: Rapid assessment and treatment of ambulatory patients

Minor Treatment: Suturing, casting, splinting, wound care, and other minor procedures

Mental Health: Dedicated treatment and seclusion spaces for patients experiencing mental health emergencies

As a tertiary referral centre, KGH provides access to trauma, critical care, surgery, medical imaging, cardiology, and other specialty services, supporting the care of patients from across the region. KGH is also a teaching site for the University of British Columbia's Southern Medical Program, providing a dynamic learning environment for nursing, medical, and other health-profession learners.

The Emergency Overflow
The Emergency Overflow department is a Medical overflow unit for the KGH ER.
