Join PLEA Community Services as a Full-Time Clinical Counsellor in Maple Ridge and Port Coquitlam. Engage with clients and families while providing essential therapeutic support across locations.
As a key member of the clinical team, you will develop effective relationships with clients to promote their engagement in therapy. This role requires a Master’s degree in a relevant field and at least one year of counseling experience. You will implement innovative therapeutic interventions and coordinate care with professionals to ensure comprehensive support.
Key Responsibilities:
• Build cooperative relationships with clients and families
• Assess client needs and identify key areas of concern
• Develop and implement therapeutic approaches for positive change
• Provide conflict-resolution strategies and crisis intervention
• Maintain clinical records and adhere to ethical standards
Requirements:
• Master's degree in counselling or related field
• One year of relevant counselling experience
• Registered Clinical Counsellor or equivalent designation
• Strong interpersonal and conflict management skills
• Valid Class 5 B.C. Driver's License and Criminal Record Clearance
