Role Description The Pre-Construction Coordinator for Romcobat . is a full-time, in office role based in Montreal, QC. The coordinator will support pre-construction activities by reviewing project specifications and drawings, preparing take-offs and material lists, and assisting in the development of accurate estimates and proposals. Day-to-day tasks include coordinating with sales, engineering, and project management teams, gathering technical information from suppliers, and ensuring that design details align with product capabilities and client requirements.
The role involves organizing documentation, maintaining project files, tracking timelines, and helping to identify potential risks or discrepancies in the pre-construction phase. The coordinator will also contribute to continuous improvement of pre-construction processes and effective communication among internal and external stakeholders.
Qualifications
- Solid technical understanding of architectural metal and glazing products, including panels, louvers, brackets, balustrades, and related building materials.
- Experience interpreting architectural and structural drawings,
performing quantity take-offs, and supporting cost estimating activities.
- Proficiency with office and project coordination tools (e.g., Microsoft Office, PDF markup software; familiarity with CAD or similar design tools is an asset).
- Solid organizational, time management, and documentation skills to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams, suppliers, and clients.
- Attention to detail, problem-solving mindset, and ability to proactively identify and resolve issues in the pre-construction phase.
- Relevant education in construction technology, engineering, architecture, or a related field; equivalent experience in construction or manufacturing will be considered.
- Knowledge of building codes and industry standards related to façades, glazing, and metal works is an advantage.
- Ability to work on-site in Montreal, QC, and engage in a team-oriented, inclusive workplace.
